Support the Project
Michael Ladd Photography started with a camera and a reason to get out of the house.
Photography helped me reconnect with the world around me during an extremely difficult time in my family's life. I can't promise it will do the same thing for someone else, but I know what it did for me.
The long-term goal of this project is simple:
Put working cameras into the hands of people who may benefit from photography but might not otherwise have access to one.
The first camera has already been handed out.
Now I'm trying to do it again.
I'm currently pursuing grant funding and looking for ways to purchase older, inexpensive, working digital cameras specifically for this project. Cameras obtained for the project are not for resale and are not for my personal collection. They're meant to be passed along.
Donate a Photograph
There is another way photographers can take part.
I'm asking anyone who enjoys photography to go out and take one new photograph specifically for this project in support of mental health awareness.
I don't care what camera you use. You don't have to be a professional. Photograph whatever you want — a person, place, animal, car, flower, your backyard, or anything else that catches your eye.
If you donate your photograph, you keep ownership and all rights to your work. Your photograph will not be sold.
I'd like to display it in the Community Gallery along with your name and, if you'd like, a link to your photography, website, or social media.
Want to Help?
You can support the project by:
Donating one new photograph to the Community Gallery
Helping connect me with grant opportunities or organizations that may be interested in the camera project
Helping spread the word
Reaching out if you have a question, idea, or would like to get involved
You don't have to donate money to support what I'm trying to do.
Sometimes simply putting the idea in front of the right person can make a difference.
